Isn't The Bible Misogynistic? - Part 2 (Hermeneutical Foundations)
Saturday Jul 16, 2016
Saturday Jul 16, 2016
In this episode we continue our discussion of the so called "misogyny" of the Bible by laying a hermeneutical foundation for how we are to read the Bible in a Redemptive Historical and how Jesus is the answer in the back of the book so to speak. We explore Paul's view that Jesus tore down social dividing lines and what this does to show the ultimate intention of God and his work of subverting Ancient Near Eastern cultural norms throughout the Old Testament.

Monday Jul 04, 2016
Monday Jul 04, 2016
In this episode I continue the discussion with atheists Cory Markum and Alex Starr about a wide ranging host of topics from Jesus Mythicism, Leprechaun defecation, to Richard Dawkins. I forgot to give the warning on the last episode so I will here... the really polite southern gentleman lets some expletives slip. And honestly... I'm too lazy to edit it.

In this somewhat impromptu episode, I reflect on a bizarre conversation I had with a Jesus Mythicist. It was just delightful.

Wednesday Apr 13, 2016
Wednesday Apr 13, 2016
In this episode we continue our series looking at the so-called "atrocities" in the Bible by exploring the question of whether or not God commanded genocide in the Old Testament when he ordered the Israelites to drive the Canaanites out of the land. I'm joined for this discussion by Dr. Matthew Flannagan.
For more on Dr. Flannagan, you can follow his work at www.mandm.org.nz. You can also check out his book on this topic, co-authored with Dr. Paul Copan, entitled Did God Really Command Genocide? Coming to Terms with the Justice of God.

P.S. I tried a new platform for recording and it did not turn out the best. Sorry for the poor audio on my side of the discussion!
